Operations Support Unit (OSU)


Mission Statement:

To provide Top Level Incident Management in all Support & Field functions, to Support the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) Incident Commanders, Department of Emergency Management (DEM), SCVSAR Field teams and Helicopter Operations, out of county resources, Fire Dept., Local, State and Federal agencies, in the following Areas (not limited to): Operations, Planning, Logistics, Communications, Documentation, Mapping, Situation and Resource Status, Transport and Food services.

 OSU is comprised of volunteers from the following Geographic and Functional SCVSAR Units: Marysville, Snohomish, Alderwood, Darrington, Everett Mountain Rescue, Explorer SAR, Project Lifesaver, SCSO. Although many of our Unit members do go in the field as ground, 4x4, Mountain Bike resources etc., OSU was established to fulfill our mission statement as well as provide a place for those members of SCVSAR (new & established) wanting to contribute to mission success without exposing themselves to the physical rigors of field assignments.
